Kratom Porland

There have been numerous debates about the legality and safety of using Kratom in different areas of the United States. As of today, Kratom is completely legal to use in Portland, Oregon. Throughout the last few decades, Kratom has been in the gray area of the law. It is currently completely legal to buy, use, or sell Kratom in Portland and in the majority of the United States. There is a placeholder bill titled Senate Bill 1005 with a potential to be transformed into a kratom regulation bill.

As of today, Kratom is available in many convenience stores, tobacco shops and even gas stations throughout Oregon. However, there are concerns over the quality of store-bought substances and the fact that sellers often mix them with other ingredients to increase quantity and profit margins. If the SB 1005 bill passes, it will require retailers not to mix Kratom with other products, as well as to register with the state Department of Agriculture and provide correct labeling for each substance. A known Kratom advocate, Sam Chapman (from the American Kratom Association), said that the bill would clear the confusion around Kratom “through regulation, labeling, and testing.”
